Trip Details
At every turn, the Radiant Routes team walks with you — as storytellers, pathfinders, and cultural bridges. We keep it immersive, eco-conscious, and community-powered — because we believe travel should heal, not just thrill.
Day 1
Arrival in Guwahati – Drive to Kaziranga
Your wild adventure begins the moment you land in Guwahati, the urban gateway to Assam's mystical green heart. Meet our cheerful local driver-guide and begin your scenic road trip to Kaziranga. Watch the city disappear and let the lush tea gardens, forested hills, and slow rivers pull you into nature’s embrace.
📍 En route stop: Enjoy local Assamese lunch at a rustic dhaba. Don't miss the smoked pork or the famous fish tenga!
Arrive at your jungle lodge or eco-resort, just minutes from the National Park's gates. As dusk falls, gather around the bonfire under a starlit sky. Listen to tales of the forest, sip warm chai, and feel the excitement build for the safari ahead.
Stay: Handpicked eco-lodge with a view
Evening: Folk dance performance by local artists (optional)
Day 2
Into the Wilderness – Kaziranga National Park Safari
Early Morning Safari (Jeep or Elephant Safari)
Wake before sunrise and dive into the eastern range of Kaziranga. If you’re lucky, your morning will begin with a rhino sighting amidst the morning mist. Herds of swamp deer, flocks of birds, maybe even a tiger pawprint – Kaziranga is alive and whispering.
Return for Breakfast
Recharge with a traditional Assamese breakfast at the lodge.
Midday Visit to the Kaziranga Orchid Park
A burst of color and cultural richness — see over 600 orchid species, traditional weaving displays, and bamboo handicrafts.
Wind down at the lodge with a locally prepared dinner and stories from our naturalist about Kaziranga's conservation legacy.
Stay: Same eco-lodge
Optional: Night walk (safe areas), stargazing
Day 3
Guwahati to Shillong – Clouds, Culture & Canyon Views
After breakfast, ride into the highlands toward Shillong – the Scotland of the East. En route, pause at Umiam Lake, where blue waters mirror the sky.
By late afternoon, reach Shillong. Explore Laitlum Canyon, a breathtaking edge-of-the-earth viewpoint. In the evening, enjoy café-hopping or explore the buzzing lanes of Police Bazaar. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 4
Shillong to Cherrapunjee – Into the Rainmaker’s Realm
After breakfast, journey to Cherrapunjee, one of the wettest places on Earth.
En route, stop at Elephant Falls and the stunning Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint.
In Cherrapunjee, trek to the surreal Wei Sawdong Falls and visit Arwah or Mawsmai caves carved by water over centuries. Feel the raw magic of nature before unwinding at your eco-lodge nestled in the hills. Overnight in Cherrapunjee.
Day 5
Mawsynram – Dawki – Mawlynnong
Start your day with a drive to Mawsynram, the rain capital of India. Walk through rain-fed forests and visit the naturally carved Shivling cave(Mawjymbuin Cave).
From here, the journey winds to Dawki, where the Umngot River flows crystal clear—so much that boats appear to float in air. Enjoy a boat ride like no other.
Then head to Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village. Roam its flowery lanes and walk on the sky-viewing bamboo bridge.
Return to Shillong for the night. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 6
Shillong to Guwahati – Until the Next Adventure
After breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to the highlands.
En route back to Guwahati, you can stop at Don Bosco Museum (time permitting) or simply soak in the last views of the Khasi hills.
Reach Guwahati by afternoon or evening for departure.
Your adventure ends, but the hills will always whisper your name.
The roads may twist and the clouds may blur the view, but with every step in Northeast India, you’ll find a story the world has never told.
